Expedia Service Never Again! $3,000.00 down the drain!!

Copy of my letter to Expedia , of which they did NOTHING!!!
Dear Sirs, I am writing in complaint of a situation caused by your company and requesting a full refund. I purchased tickets for my son & his fiancé for their honeymoon. The tickets were round-trip from Nashville, TN to Rome, Italy on June 8, 2014. The total cost of the tickets were $3,158.20. The tickets were purchased on 11/5/13. On 1/9/14 I was notified by email of a flight time & equipment change on the Naples to Frankfurt, Germany flight. A change of 20 minutes. But, on June 8, 2014 my son & his fiancé arrived at the Nashville airport for their scheduled departure time of 2:15 PM. Upon arrival at the US Air gate they were told that their flight time had been changed to 12:15 PM thus causing them to miss their flight! Because of them missing their flight their entire tickets we purchased were cancelled! They were told there was no other flights on this day to be able to make their connections to Rome, Italy. We contacted Expedia customer service at this time. After being on hold for more than 2 hours speaking to numerous people at your company were were told the only thing Expedia could do was rebook them on a flight 2 days later! This was totally unacceptable, they were beginning their honeymoon and had a lot of money invested in the trip. We were never notified of this flight time change, as I stated above we did receive notice of a change from Naples of 20 minutes but not of a 2 hour change in their departure time. Your representative checked our records and said there was no record of us being notified of this change because Expedia was not aware of the flight time change themselves. In order for our son & his fiancé to be able to leave for their honeymoon we were forced to have to purchase new tickets from USAir at a cost to us of $2,376.00. Our son & his fiancé were able to leave Nashville on a later flight that day to Charlotte, NC where they had to spend the night and catch a flight on June 9, 2014 to Rome, Italy. Thus arriving over 24 hours later than planned. They were forced to spend $74.00 for a hotel in Charlotte, NC to await their flight on June 9, and also lost one night at the hotel they had booked in Rome, Italy that was non-refundable at a cost of $740.21 for the one night. I am sure you must understand my complete anger with your company. The customer service we received was atrocious. We were forced to spend a great deal of extra money because your company did not do their job of notifying us of the flight time change. We are requesting a full refund of the purchase price of $3,158.20 we made from your company. We will be awaiting your response.
